I was lucky enough to be selected to try out a great opportunity from the wonderful folks at Stitch Fix! Have you heard about Stitch Fix? I hadn’t until I was selected via Klout perks to try out their company. So let me tell you what Stitch Fix is according to their website:

~ What is Stitch Fix? ~

Stitch Fix is a personal styling service. You tell us your style, size, and budget preferences, and we send you a package of stylish goodies to try on at home. Each Fix is unique and hand-picked just for you.

~ How does it work? ~

Take 3 days to decide what you’ll keep. Return the items you don’t want in our pre-paid mailing bag at any USPS mailbox.

~ Check Out ~

Login to your account and pay for those items you kept. If you buy all 5 items you save 25% off the entire shipment price.

Don’t forget to give us feedback on your Stitch Fix shipment—our secret (styling) sauce gets better over time if we know what did and didn’t work for you.

~ Pros ~

Sounds easy, right? Is it really that simple? I admit I had my doubts, but after receiving my first fix I realized that it really was that simple. The five items that were selected for me based on my answers on my style profile were surprisingly accurate based on my fashion taste.

A couple of the items were walking the line of possibly being too out there for me, which I loved! I’m so picky when it comes to my clothes and it sometimes takes me forever before I commit to buying clothes. It was wonderful to receive items that someone else picked out for me.

My fix arrived with a style card (that’s the best way I know of to describe it) that pictures the items that are included and also gives ideas on what you can pair said item with. Each item had two possibilities to help inspire ideas. Here is what my card looked like:

I received the three tops, navy flare dress, and the bracelet which is not pictured on the card.

My favorite pieces included the Kasey Stripe Hem Fit & Flare Dress and the Cameron Wooden Stretch Bracelet. :)

~ Cons ~

I believe the largest size they currently accommodate is an XL which is the size that I usually select for my outfits, thus the size I indicated on my profile. However, since I am currently pregnant, the items were just not fitting properly. For example, the dress that I loved and so very badly wanted to keep, fit great around my bump but the best was just too tight. I believe the bust would have been too small regardless of me being pregnant. This isn’t really any fault of the company but I would love to see them accommodate larger sizes. Or even have a maternity section. That would be amazing!

My only other con with this product is that two of the shirts were long-sleeved (or quarter-sleeved) and living in South Carolina where it is now Spring and we’ve already seen temperatures in the 80’s, they were eliminated based solely on the fact that I wouldn’t be able to wear them until the Fall.

~ Bottom Line ~

Would I use Stitch Fix again? After I have my baby and can return to a normal size, I just may order another fix. These items were great and weren’t too far out of my comfort zone and I’m excited to see what the stylist can pick out next time!

To order your first fix, just visit the Stitch Fix website (or visit with my referral link to help me earn credit) to get started! The process is simple and it only takes a few moments (I believe they mention about 10 minutes) to fill out your style profile.

If you have tried Stitch Fix, be sure to let me know what you thought. I’d love to see other goodies that they have to offer!

Stay Creative,
