Just like the title says, this scarf is way too easy to make. And that means it’s perfect for your little ones to create on their own, or for all of you who lack any knitting, crocheting, or looming skills. All you need is one skein of Red Heart Boutique Swerve yarn in the color of your choice, and your hands. That’s it. Scarf is done!
I saw this yarn on store shelves many times before, but for $5.00 a skein and absolutely no idea what to do with it, I always walked on by. That is, until Michael’s was kind enough to send me a dozen emails reminding me of their Big Yarn Event. Of course I just had to go, and there it was sitting in a clearance bin for $2.00 a skein, so naturally I bought a handful of them. Still, I was clueless as to how I was supposed to use them, and that’s when Pinterest came into play! When in doubt, go on Pinterest, you will always find your answer there!
Here are the finished pieces. Mine is the mossy looking one, which also ended up being a lot shorter than the one my daughter made. Hers is the perfect length for me but she just won’t give it up, so I’ll be making a new one soon! Next time I’ll be sure to use a few fingers to pull the yarn through, instead of using my entire giant hand. If your hands are on the larger side, you’ll probably end up with the same length issue, or lack of, so best to use your fingers.
That’s it! I’m so glad I found this video and we were finally able to use this funky, awesome yarn! Great project for the kiddos and easy enough for all of you to make! So, go grab yourself a skein and have fun with your silly-frilly scarves!
Happy Day, all!
